Brad Pitt's Family Defend Close Relationship With Jennifer Aniston

Brad Pitt's family have defended their close relationship with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, insisting the actor remains on good terms with her too.

The couple divorced in 2005 after four and half years of marriage and, despite the fact Pitt has since started a family with Angelina Jolie, both his parents Jane and William and his siblings remain friendly with his former spouse.

Jane even paid a visit to Aniston's Malibu house on Father's Day for an afternoon chat, but Pitt's brother Doug is adamant there's nothing unusual about their continued contact.

He says, "Jennifer is a friend of Brad's. Why wouldn't she be a friend of ours?"

The odd family dynamic is reported to have infuriated Angelina Jolie, but earlier this month she denied reports of a rift. In fact, the mom-of-four maintained she was stunned at how welcoming Pitt's family were - both to her and her young brood.

She says, "When I first met them I came in with two adopted children from other countries and I didn't know how they were going to be. But they are equally loving with them."

Brandy And Tyrese To Get Married

Brandy finally has something to smile about as she battles accusations she caused a December freeway pile-up that left one motorist dead - she's allegedly become engaged.

Tyrese Gibson has proposed to single mom Brandy, according to internet gossip site Hollyscoop.com.

Sources claim the couple has secretly been an on-and-off item for years, and Gibson asked Brandy to be his wife at a family party held earlier this month.

The party, which Brandy threw for a pregnant pal, quickly became an engagement bash, according to the website.

Like his reported new fiancee, Gibson has faced legal problems in 2007 - he was at the centre of a criminal investigation after reportedly punching his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach in January.

At the time, police sources in Los Angeles confirmed the 2 Fast 2 Furious star's live-in girlfriend, who was then five months pregnant, called police claiming the singer had punched her in the stomach twice during a heated argument.

Tiger Woods Is A Dad

Golf ace Tiger Woods is celebrating after his wife Elin Nordegren gave birth to their first child.

Swedish model Elin, 27, delivered a son, Sam Alexis Woods, on Monday morning.

Proud daddy Woods announced the happy news on his official website saying: "Both Elin and Sam are doing well and resting peacefully. We want to thank our doctors and the hospital staff for all their dedicated and hard work.

"This is truly a special time in our lives and we look forward to introducing Sam to our family and friends over the next few weeks. We thank everyone for their well wishes and continued respect of our privacy."

The couple wed in Barbados in October 2004 after a three year courtship.

Britney Spears Complains, Billboards Removed

Radio station billboards that featured unflattering photos of a bald, scowling Britney Spears have been taken down after the pop star's attorneys threatened legal action.

In a letter to Clear Channel Communications Inc. dated Thursday, Spears' attorneys accused the company of "offensive, unauthorized commercial exploitation" of the 25-year-old singer, and demanded that the three billboards in the Tampa area be removed. The letter was posted on The Smoking Gun Web site.

The billboards, advertisements for WFLZ FM's "The MJ Morning Show," depicted a bald Spears and show host Todd Schnitt along with the slogans "Total Nut Jobs," "Shock Therapy" and "Certifiable."

"We have confirmed that the billboards are down," Clear Channel spokeswoman Michele Clarke said Tuesday. She referred other questions to the Clear Channel offices in Tampa, whose representatives didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.

"Clear Channel has removed the billboards, and I'm not happy with that," Schnitt told the St. Petersburg Times.

A call to the Los Angeles attorney who signed the letter to Clear Channel wasn't immediately returned Tuesday.

Justin Timberlake's Tour U-turn Over Jessica Biel

Pop star Justin Timberlake has backed down from banning girlfriend Jessica Biel on tour - the pair met up in Amsterdam and Stockholm this week.

The SexyBack hitmaker was forced to send the The Illusionist actress back to the U.S. recently because he finds it difficult to focus on his work when he is with her.

He said, "She truly insisted that she came with me on tour. I don't know how to say no to a pretty face. But it wasn't really a good idea. This time I'm putting the machine before everything else."

"Jessica met up with me in Manchester, England, but for Paris (France), I told her categorically no. This tour is very important to me. I'm doing it really seriously so there's no question of playing sweethearts."

However, it seems the singer's had a change of heart because Biel, 25, arrived in Amsterdam, Holland, on Sunday evening and flew with him to Stockholm, Sweden, for a show yesterday.

Elias Karroum, owner of a Lebanese restaurant they dined at in the city, tells People.com, "They seemed like an ordinary couple in love. They were very sweet."

The 31-year-old actress welcomed her first child, a boy named River Russell Deary, on June 9 in New York, her publicist, Jill Fritzo, said Tuesday.

Russell married Shane Deary, a contractor, in Manhattan on Valentine's Day. The couple became engaged last year.

River was born on Saturday, June 9th but the birth wasn’t announced until Monday.

Angelina Jolie may be opening the door to a future relationship with her estranged father, Jon Voight.

"I am hoping my relationship with my father will be more private in the future," Jolie told the U.K.'s Evening Standard newspaper in an interview this week. "At the end of the day we both wish the best for each other and we'll try to start communicating in some way."

Jolie and Voight have had little, if any, contact since 2002, when Voight made comments to Access Hollywood suggesting that she was unstable. The 'Dirty' singer allegedly discovered she was nine weeks pregnant just days before husband Jordan Bratman turned 30 on June 4.

A source told America's Star magazine: "Jordan was blown away! He told her the baby was the greatest present ever!

"Christina's always been maternal. There's no doubt Christina will make a fabulous mother."

On June 7, Christina and Jordan were seen leaving New York's Maternal Fetal Medicine Association.

Socialite Paris Hilton's spell in jail is costing the taxpayer more than 11 times what it costs to incarcerate the average inmate.

The 26-year-old hotel heiress costs Los Angeles County $1,109.78, compared to the average $99.64.

Los Angeles Sherriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore tells website TMZ.com, Hilton's tab includes medical treatment and staff associated with her requirements.

Hilton was sent back to the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California on Friday to finish the 45-day sentence she began earlier this month - after a judge reversed the decision to allow her to complete the sentence under house arrest.

If Hilton had finished her sentence at home, it would have cost the County nothing.

Paris Hilton's Neighbours Complain About Helicopter Noise

An "enormous" number of people living in Paris Hilton's West Hollywood neighbourhood have complained about the noise made by helicopters filming the jailed socialite's home on Friday.

Local residents are angry about being woken up by choppers in the early hours of Friday morning, the same day Hilton was sent back to Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California to finish the 45 day sentence she began on June 3rd.

West Hollywood City Council Mayor Pro Tempore Jeffrey Prang has written a letter - dated 8 June - to his constituents explaining that while he shares their displeasure at being woken up by helicopters, the issue is out of his jurisdiction.

He writes, "I have received an enormous number of calls and e-mails today about the helicopters hovering over the city... Given the publicity and controversy surrounding her recent incarceration and re-assignment to house arrest, the media has converged on our community, including a flock of helicopters."

"Like many of you, I too was woken this morning about 5:30am by helicopters. However, I want to let you know that the City Of West Hollywood and the Sheriff's Department, as well as the City Of Los Angeles and their Police Department, have no authority or jurisdiction over airspace and helicopters hovering overhead."

Prang goes on to suggest residents contact the Federal Aviation Administration (faa) and the TV news stations who use footage filmed from helicopters.

Hilton was jailed for violating her parole following a 2006 drink driving arrest.

The hotel heiress's lawyer, Richard A. Hutton, visited her at California's Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood yesterday (04.06.07) after her first night in jail.

As he left the facility, Hutton said: "Her attitude is - I'm going to come in here, I'm going to do my time, get it over with, and I'm going to show the world who I really am.

"She's using this time to reflect on her life, to see what she can do to make the world better.

"She's doing very well under the circumstances. The staff here have reported that she has been gracious, polite, and thankful for helping her.

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has been leaving her rehab facility on several occasions - to workout at her local gym.

The Mean Girls actress was criticized earlier this year when she repeatedly left her rehab program at Wonderland to make several personal outings - and she has already left the Malibu based rehab facility Promises three times to workout since she checked in last Monday.

A spokesperson for the rehab center confirmed to Access Hollywood the actress left the facility, saying, "Yes, Lindsay went to the gym."

However, the spokesperson refused to reveal whether trips away from the rehab center were allowed, only saying, "We keep our policies private."

Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Struggle With Parenthood

Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are struggling to cope with the pressures of raising four young children - and admit parenthood is taking its toll on their relationship.

The couple, parents to five-year-old Maddox, three-year-old Pax, two-year-old Zahara and one-year-old Shiloh, concede the strain of parenting means they don't spend enough time together.

Jolie says, "Mommy and Daddy need to try to figure out more time right now."

Dita Von Teese To Play Movie Stripper

Burlesque star Dita Von Teese is to make her big screen debut playing a stripper in a movie to be shot on country star Willie Nelson's Texas ranch.

Von Teese will take the lead in The Boom Boom Room, based on a novel by Lian Lunson.

She will star alongside Willie Nelson and Katherine Helmond, who will mentor Von Teese's young stripper.

Producer Orian Williams says of the location, "I say Willie's Ranch but it is more like a city. It's perfect for a desert town."

He adds of the film, "It's the journey of an everyday girl to the world of burlesque. You see the transition. It's a beautiful family story, almost a fairy tale, about love and loss and gain."

Amerie Shocked By Skimpy Koreans

Amerie was shocked to discover South Korean girls wear "skimpy" clothes, because she thought they'd be more conservative than Western women.

The Take Control singer - who is half Korean herself - was stunned to see local women exposing so much flesh when she first visited the country, and was even more surprised to see girls dancing half-naked in music videos.

She says, "It totally shocked me the last time I was out there actually - I thought everyone would be so conservative, and then I see these Korean videos and I can't believe my eyes."
