Christina Aguilera To Become An Actress

Christina Aguilera insists her long-planned movie career is closer to becoming a reality - she's started reading scripts.

The singer has been talking for several years about her wish to start an acting career, but is waiting for the right movie to come along.

The 26-year-old says, "I am looking forward to moving into another form of what I feel is another creative outlet for me and that would be acting."

"It is something that, when I attempt to do it, I want to do it right so it's important for me that I do choose the right first role for myself."

Christina Aguilera Is 9 Weeks Pregnant

The 'Dirty' singer allegedly discovered she was nine weeks pregnant just days before husband Jordan Bratman turned 30 on June 4.

A source told America's Star magazine: "Jordan was blown away! He told her the baby was the greatest present ever!

"Christina's always been maternal. There's no doubt Christina will make a fabulous mother."

On June 7, Christina and Jordan were seen leaving New York's Maternal Fetal Medicine Association.

The facility is known for its state-of-the-art ultrasounds and expertise in high-risk pregnancies. The singer was seen later that day with what appeared to be a baby bump.

The 26-year-old star married the music executive in the Napa Valley on November 19, 2005.
